I was introduced to the Whole30 and Paleo diet in 2014, and experienced the dramatic impact of clean eating for the first time. A year later I discovered CrossFit, and have spent a decade refining the incredible combination of fitness and nutrition in my own life. In 2018 I was successfully treated for binge eating disorder and learned first-hand how to heal and retrain my metabolism. Since then, I’ve found success with several different nutrition practices, all catering to my needs and goals at the time, including paleo, intuitive eating, tracking macros, lean bulking, carb-cycling, and keto/animal-based/carnivore. I have experience with low-FODMAP and the SCD (specific carbohydrate diet) as a result of having children with GI issues. Food is medicine! I have experienced relief from migraines, skin conditions, and hormonal imbalances that consistently resurface when I stray from my healthy habits.

The common thread to any successful nutrition plan, regardless of methodology, is eating mindfully. Know what and how much you’re consuming, and why. The first step is food quality! Real food takes priority and will often yield results alone. After that, measuring food intake is a valuable tool to reach specific goals. I’ll provide the information, resources and accountability you need to be successful. It’s up to you to put it into practice.

While moving consistently is necessary for long-term health, it’s not the biggest piece of the puzzle. Without a solid nutritional foundation, you will plateau in your health and fitness progress and think nothing is “working”. What you eat will either maximize or sabotage your efforts. Let me help you start the healthy foundation on which to build the rest of your life!

I am a planner and thrive on having a schedule and checklists. I’m also a working mom and know all too well how hard it can be to find time to do all the things: meal plan, exercise, get kids to/from school and activities, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, sleep, showering…the list goes on. I love cooking and trying new recipes, but having picky kids can sometimes limit our options for what we eat for meals. I spend a lot of time planning and tweaking recipes and meal plans that work for our family, and I love sharing them with others.

I have two children, both very large ten pound babies born by cesarean. I don't have the body type to just snap back after having kids, and I have a long family history of obesity and related health conditions, so weight loss doesn’t come easily for me. In 2021, after being stuck at home with a newborn and a toddler, I had hit an all-time low with my weight gain and poor eating choices. I finally decided it was time to start fighting for my health again and joined Hooligan CrossFit. I found a great motivating community and started making progress in my strength. After hitting a plateau, I realized exercise alone wasn’t cutting it anymore. I did some research, took some nutrition refresher courses, and made a commitment to myself to follow the 75 Hard plan. I calculated my macros, planned out my meals, made checklists, and followed every rule to a T. At the end of the 75 days, I had lost a significant amount of weight. I was finally able to do a pull-up and handstand! I maintained that weight loss for over a year before changing my focus to powerlifting. I recalculated my macros to focus on building muscle and hit a new PR during my first powerlifting competition! My new goal this year is maintaining my muscle gains while leaning out again to focus on gymnastics movements.

In addition to 75 Hard and tracking macros, I have also had success in the past with following the Whole30 and Paleo diets. Over the past year, I have worked with nutrition clients calculating macros, building meal plans and tweaking recipes, developing healthier habits, and holding clients accountable with weekly check-ins, monthly meetings, and tracking body changes. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with new clients this year and watching them succeed and reach their goals!

I joined CrossFit about ten years ago, thinking I could work off my extra fifty pounds at the gym. Nope, that didn’t happen. In the beginning, I didn’t believe that nutrition would make a difference like working out would. Wrong again. I had tried every diet ever published—none worked. Until low-carb, high-fat came along about five years ago. In about six months, I lost those fifty pounds, and life has never been so good! I feel alert (that brain fog is gone!) and strong, and my biomarkers are great.

I believe that nutrition is an integral part of the journey to good health and fitness. However, everybody responds differently. You will lead your nutrition journey based on your goals. Your way of eating will not look exactly like mine, based on your preferences and how your body responds to certain foods. I work with keto, paleo, and low-carb/high-fat ways of eating. I am a certified CF-L2 coach and hold certificates in CrossFit Nutrition and Healthy Steps Nutrition.

This is my nutrition mantra (from CrossFit):
"Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat…”

I want you to know that I will be with you every step of the way. I love to talk about nutrition and will support you in your health journey.

In March of 2023, I knew I was ready for a change and it was time to prioritize my nutrition. I was completely overwhelmed by the thought of tracking and had put it off for so long because of how daunting it felt to start. Once I began though, it wasn’t nearly as complicated as I’d built it up to be in my head. Since starting that journey, I’ve lost over 50 lbs and cut my body fat percentage nearly in half. I learned so much along the way and would love to share that knowledge and practical experience with others who are ready for change - whether that be weight loss, muscle gain, improved performance or even just to feel better in daily life.

My goal was to have my approach be sustainable. I didn’t want to spend my life on this roller coaster of dieting then gaining weight. As a result, I now have a better understanding of how to fuel my body. I can enjoy foods that are good for my soul alongside foods that are good for my body, without derailing the progress I’ve made. I have been able to maintain my weight loss long-term because these are lifestyle changes I’ve made, and not just a temporary strict diet. I want to share that I know what this process feels like. I know that without support it can be hard to succeed or feel motivated to stick to a plan.

Getting started is the biggest hurdle. I'm here to help you over that roadblock by working together to find an approach that is sustainable for you and your lifestyle. I’m available for my clients for as much support as they need along the way, always reachable to offer support. Personally, I eat vegetarian but that doesn’t mean I’ll make the meat-lovers switch to tofu. I do believe protein and fiber are important to success and worth prioritizing. I have found that tracking protein and calories is the most successful way to achieve goals, however, it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Hi! I've been a part of the Hooligan community since 2015. While I’ve always loved working out, I never gave much thought to how nutrition impacts not only our appearance, but also internal well-being and athletic performance. That all changed after having two kids when I realized I needed to take ownership of my lifestyle, starting with my nutrition.

Living with ADHD has also shaped my journey. While I don’t medicate, I’ve discovered that adopting an anti-inflammatory approach to eating has been transformative—not only for managing my ADHD but also for boosting my energy, improving focus, and achieving sustainable weight loss.

I believe in an 80/20 lifestyle: life is meant to be enjoyed, but consistency is the foundation of success. I’m not tied to any single nutrition philosophy, but I’m passionate about clean eating and cutting out unnecessary toxins. I’m here to share what I’ve learned and help others feel and perform their best—inside and outside the gym.
